In just a few days, May 2nd, Wisconsin’s fishing season officially opens! With forecasts in the 60’s and 70’s and not much wind, this could be one of the best fishing openers we’ve seen weather-wise!
The Walleye limit will go from 1 to 5 fish per person, and our world-renowned Smallmouth fishery officially opens as well! (For complete listing of regulations, CLICK HERE)
Water temps are in the mid-high 40’s, and we have been having some AWESOME days catching big walleyes-this one pictured below (28.5″) was just caught and released a few moments ago (4/28/15).
As we approach our busiest season of open water guiding the waters of Door County, we are optimistic for another successful fishing season.
Best of luck to you this spring fishing season, and remember to CPR-Catch, Photo, Release!
